The landscape work L’Enfance du Pli, created by landscape architect and artist Gilles Brusset for the Fonds d’art contemporain de la Ville de Meyrin, is enhanced by ECO-INNOV recessed LED solar panels (model ECO-120 with blue LED).
Set in a 2,600 m² area between the after-school building and the entrance hall of the Boudines aula, this landscape sculpture is the result of an artistic competition launched in 2013 for the school’s interior and exterior landscaping. Gilles Brusset ‘s project was chosen for the outdoor space, where he proposes a contemporary reinterpretation of the Jura relief through an undulating garden blending grass and asphalt.
Inspired by the topography of the Jura massif, the work symbolically restores a geological identity to the site. Through a play of folds in the ground, it evokes a model of the landscape seen from the air, without seeking to reproduce it faithfully, but rather by taking up the formal and plastic principles of the neighboring mountain.
The project was awarded the LILA 2020 prize in the playground category, in recognition of its artistic and landscaping features and its integration into the public space.
Our solar panels play a full part in the night-time setting of the site, highlighting the paths and lines of the landscape while providing a self-contained, sustainable lighting solution.
