Recessed solar stud

Stainless steel solar stud with GPS

With its 316L stainless steel cover, the ECO-160 is designed to withstand severe mechanical or saline conditions, and features a reinforced structure to protect its solar module. Its sunburst design provides an additional anti-slip feature. Its low bracket projection and simplified maintenance guarantee long-lasting installation. Optionally available with latest-generation GPS technology, it automatically synchronizes its flashing with the set of studs on the same site.

Choice of adhesive – For installation on sites where vehicles are likely to drive over the pads, we recommend the use of SIKADUR 42+ HE adhesive. Installation must be carried out at suitable temperatures, respecting the curing time required before reopening to traffic (see adhesive instructions). Any other choice of adhesive is the responsibility of the installer.

1 – Install a mounting bracket on each pedestal by screwing it onto the cover using the two threaded holes provided for this purpose.

2 – Next, fold the four flaps of the bracket upward at a 90° angle. This action positions the bracket’s tabs so that the pedestal is held at the correct level when installed in the core hole.

3 – After marking the locations of the pedestals, drill a circular hole with a minimum diameter of 170 mm and a minimum depth of 70 mm.

4 – Clean the hole thoroughly to ensure a high-quality seal.

5 – Fill the hole with a sufficient amount of sealant.

6 – Insert the pedestal, ensuring the LEDs are oriented correctly. The four legs of the mounting bracket must make contact with the surface. The adhesive should rise to the level of the floor all around the mounting bracket. Be sure to smooth the joint for a neat installation. Place a weight on the mounting bracket and allow the sealant to cure for a sufficient amount of time before subjecting it to any mechanical stress.

7 – Once the sealant is dry and secure, unscrew and remove the mounting bracket.

Note – Throughout these operations, keep the solar module and LEDs clean and protected.

Failure to comply with these instructions may result in suspension of the warranty.
